Dr. Villa-García Participates in International Linguistics & Cognitive Science Colloquium
Congratulations to Dr. Julio Villa-García for being selected as a member of the the research group “Linguistics and Cognitive Science” (LyCC) of the prestigious Center for Human and Social Sciences of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). The Center has organized a “Permanent Colloquium on Theoretical Linguistics" since the 2008-2009 academic year, where work in progress, prepublications, partial thesis results, and other research have been presented. The Colloquium serves as an open forum in which questions of formal linguistics can be shared and debated with scientific rigor and a constructive mind. Dr. Julio Villa-García was invited by the LyCC group (Linguistics and Cognitive Science) to speak on “Syntactic Variations in Spanish: Non-standard Imperatives in Two Dialects”. The lecture took place in Madrid, on December 16, 2013 at 4:00 pm.
