Congratulations Portuguese 1122 Students!
Congratulations are in order!
One of our students in Portuguese 1122, Jorge Otero, is a senior in VSB and has won a full scholarship to attend Middlebury College's Portuguese School this summer. (7 weeks of total immersion--over 500 hours of classes and activities in Portuguese).
Another Portuguese 1122 student, Laura Garcia (also in VSB), has been chosen as a volunteer for the Rio Olympics. This was a competitive application process with qualified applicants from all over the world. She will spend a month in Rio this summer helping the athletes to get settled in.
